CoverTec Solutions currently Sponsor David Phillipson by way of designing and manufacturing protective tailor made carry and travel systems for his equipment.

Supporting David Phillipson in his progressive target for gold in the 2012 Olympic Games is important to what we do.

Our task is to ensure that David’s equipment arrives at competitions around the world in perfect working order.

The covers made for David have already travelled around the world to Australia, Japan, United states, Sweden and many other places. The covers have served David well and since using CoverTec solutions his equipment has always arrived in perfect working order and ready to use.

About David Phillipson

At 19 years of age David is the current GB No1 and World Ranked 25 in Wheelchair Tennis.

David is based in Nottingham but splits his tennis training between Loughborough and The Nottingham Tennis Centre where he combines fitness training in the Gymnasium with on court coaching and training. His coach based at Loughborough is Martyn Whait the GB Wheelchair Tennis Men’s Coach.

2008 started well for David competing in the Australian open for the first time and improving his World Ranking by first round wins in both singles and doubles.

He became the National Champion this year and went on to play for GB in the World Team Cup (The Davies Cup of Wheelchair Tennis) in Italy where with his partner won the final rubber to win the match against Belgium and the Group 2 title, they had already clinched promotion to Group 1 by virtue of reaching the final.

Next years venue for this prestigious event is Nottingham Tennis Centre.

The two highlight of 2008 are without doubt being invited on a Wild Card to play doubles at Wimbledon and being selected to compete in the Paralympics in Beijing.

Being selected to represent GB at the Paralympics will be a great experience and David’s goal is to reach the Quarter finals which will mean defeating a seeded player.

David’s ultimate goal is to win the Gold Medal in 2012 in front of all the home supporters.

We have made protective covers for some of the top athletes in the UK covering hand race bikes, tennis wheelchairs, basket ball wheelchairs, rugby wheelchairs, water skis, snow sit skis, and race wheelchair.

Our aims are to protect your equipment so that it arrives at it’s destination in one piece, assist in handling and moving, also protecting the interior of vehicles.

The covers and travel systems can be in various colours with your logo applied, also sponsors can have there logos applied as well.

At CoverTec Solutions bespoke covers of any size can be made to measure using our usual way of creating a storage and carry system allowing your products and items having some form of protection whilst in transit, the most unusual request has been for a case and protections for expensive dinosaur fossils whilst in transit around the world to the simplistic body panels of cars in the motor sport industry and protective covers for disability sports equipment.

The covers below are to transport equipment from the UK to China, makes a change to have products going that way, but i suppose that reinforces our skill in design of new products possibly.

The covers are fitted with handles to aid carrying the items from van to room or room to van, and as you can see logos have been applied to the covers as well, the internal structure of the covers have 4mm padding to protect from the small knocks and scrapes that occurs during light transit journeys and the outer fabric is 100% polyester with a shower proof lining behind the padding, the opening has heavy duty zip enclosed in a durable polyester heavy duty webbing placed to create a binding.

Race bike covers are designed by CoverTec Solutions Ltd. These race bike covers can be adapted to fit Quickie Shark, Draft etc. The covers are made from a durable polyester faced fabric containing a pvc backing then lined with a 4mm foam padding lined with a soft brush nylon. These covers are our own design and have been perfected to protect the equipment whilst travelling on aircraft, cars, and trains etc.
