The weekend at the rally show started as a good weekend and what was good for the rally teams taking part in the two days wasn’t so good for us, we had taken lots of leather items to show our work, the result of the weekend was a wash out to say the least, we had approx two hours of complete sunshine and the rest was torrential rain but when the sun did come out it was a rush to business, we were visited by lots of potentially new clients but not as many as expected, they say quality arrives in small numbers, below are some pictures and video clips of the event. The reason for standing at this show is to let you all know what we do and we are vehicle interior specialists, trimming and recovering interiors of all types of vehicles whether it be the boat, bike, car you name it if it is a vehicle and requires the inside restoring from original concourse to fully custom leather interiors, carpets and hoods, also if it is something that has never been achieved before then we will find a way

  

During renovation of the two front seats of a triumph stag we at CoverTec solutions based in Wigston, Leicester discovered this empty packet of crisps dated for you to win tickets at the 1978 world cup, this brought back childhood memories of our parents watching the football on the television, and that’s where the interest stopped as we needed to complete the restoration on time.

 

The restoration of retrimming these seats consisted of firstly stripping and fitting new foam then onto retrimming the seats with as original spec vinyl as possible, as professional time served trimmers it is said that the triumph stag front seats are the hardest to fit because of the shape on the top shoulders, however we have had many years perfecting the skills to fit in a timely and cost effective way

    

the seats have been fully restored replacing the rubber diaphragms and rubber webbing to both cush and squab or in plain English base and back.

The Rally Show is a unique motorsport experience set in the spectacular grounds of Chatsworth House.

The show incorporates part of the former RAC Rally stage (to learn more about the rallying history of Chatsworth, click here) and turns it into a spectator-based event complete with all the thrills of special stage rallying, without the marathon walk through the woods!

There is no better place in the UK to enjoy the rallying experience with such perfect views of the action. Watch historic and World Rally Cars take on Chatsworth’s famous set pieces of rallying; the jump and the water splash. In 2008 over 15000 people were lucky enough to do just that.

Race bike covers are designed by CoverTec Solutions Ltd. These race bike covers can be adapted to fit Quickie Shark, Draft etc. The covers are made from a durable polyester faced fabric containing a pvc backing then lined with a 4mm foam padding lined with a soft brush nylon. These covers are our own design and have been perfected to protect the equipment whilst travelling on aircraft, cars, and trains etc.
