Another one bites the dust!

We have just completed another leather Re-Trim on a Land Rover/Range Rover Vogue HSE interior with quilted styling on the centre panels, the dashboard, door cards and seats have been recovered and upholstered and given a completely new look and face lift here at CoverTec Solutions.

The interior had a complete make over, From Door cards, to Seats, to the dash and more with the highest grade leather available for the job !

Not only did we ReTrim the interior, We also fitted other parts that were supplied by the client, such as wood dash components and plastic trim for the boot lid.

Here at CoverTec Solutions we have just fitted out a Jaguar XJS with a brand new hood.

The old hood had several indications of wear, Shown in the photo’s below. And was due for a new replacement hood.

Today shows the release of the Interior Colour Picker BETA.

Just completed, a Porsche Boxster window upgrade, the customer had just purchased the car and is having it tidied up at GCR CENTRAL, they are Porsche specialists in Leicester, and often their workshops will have a smattering of Porsche Boxsters, 944, 968, 928 and 996 to be seen when you are there.

Motorsport race seat experts Real Essential, located in Berkshire is to partner with Leicester-based automotive trim specialists CoverTec Solutions to develop material covering options for race seat in-fills and associated applications. The result could mean expansion, new jobs and innovative world leading products being developed in the region.

 

Real Essential Managing Director, Vaughan Cartwright said: “We wanted to develop our leading seat-infill product range further by offering complete high-performance trimmed seating options without compromising on safety or comfort. CoverTec Solutions bring a combined 40 years of bespoke quality automotive trimming experience to the partnership. Their unique custom manufacturing experience means that together we can increase our development for motorsport seat-infill systems, as well as exploring the non-motorsport applications for this technology.” 

 

The UK is already at the heart of world motorsport with many of the teams based here. Seating systems are essential to driver comfort, safety and driving performance in all motorsport. The partnership hopes to develop a range of seating systems building on poly-bead resin technology. While the technology is born of motorsport innovation there are many other applications which the partnership will explore with the promise of new jobs and expansion.

After attending the Carole Nash Motorcycle Show NEC, November 26th, 2009, we are to attend the piston heads show at the Auto sport international 2010, one of our first visits had to be to our friends who produce the new revolutionary product Magic Bullet for high performance fuel treatment. After several hours looking around and establishing what we at CoverTec Solutions needed to do for the auto sport show, it was decided on the spot to book the two girls Jen and Lena from the grid girls agency, they supported the team on the magic bullet stand with complete professionalism and promoted away to the best i have ever seen at any of these types of events. Visit us in hall 19 on the 14th,15th,16th & 17th January 2010 to discuss your interior trim ideas, motor sport covers, and working in partnership with the bespoke tailored race seat manufacturer Real Essential come and speak to Vaughan Cartwright about your race comfort options and effective support systems.

Another custom interior recover finished by us at CoverTec Solutions, and the customer is over the moon with the result of his Subaru re-upholstery, it was explained that he wanted trim the interior seats in black leather outers with red alcantara inners, complete with red stitching to match the alcantara, we went ahead with what was required and redesigned the bespoke seating with subtle changes to the design to accommodate the new materials, although the car is one of the early models it has, that cared for appearance to it, so the new leather and alcantara trimming is a perfect compliment to the outer of the car, the car arrived at our workshop in Wigston, Leicester, on the Saturday ready for us to start work on Monday and was completed by the following Tuesday.

The weekend at the rally show started as a good weekend and what was good for the rally teams taking part in the two days wasn’t so good for us, we had taken lots of leather items to show our work, the result of the weekend was a wash out to say the least, we had approx two hours of complete sunshine and the rest was torrential rain but when the sun did come out it was a rush to business, we were visited by lots of potentially new clients but not as many as expected, they say quality arrives in small numbers, below are some pictures and video clips of the event. The reason for standing at this show is to let you all know what we do and we are vehicle interior specialists, trimming and recovering interiors of all types of vehicles whether it be the boat, bike, car you name it if it is a vehicle and requires the inside restoring from original concourse to fully custom leather interiors, carpets and hoods, also if it is something that has never been achieved before then we will find a way

  

We are now the preferred suppliers of hoods for the triumph stag soft top to one of the best and well known triumph stag restorers in the country, at CoverTec Solutions we not only supply these hoods but we make them, we were commissioned to make a one off hood changing some of the spec that previous suppliers gave them, we listened to what they needed and gave them what they wanted, after thirty years of fitting these hoods the restorers told us that the hood was the best that they have fitted in all of the thirty years, to get the result that they wanted we took various manufactured stag hoods and a few original hoods and stripped them down, put traditional British skills into action, redesigned and remade them with today’s modern materials, we use the very best mohair fabric and manufacture the hoods to as close as original spec as possible with the suggested changes put in place, having now manufactured two batches for them we can confidently say that we believe the hoods for the triumph stag that we make are the best you can get, in fact it has already been said that the hoods could actually be better than the original design.
